HubSpot cost calculator
An indication of your annual budget based on 2026 list prices, annual billing and a roughly 1:1 euro/dollar ratio. Not a quote — a realistic order of magnitude to plan with.
Note: the onboarding fee can often be replaced by onboarding through a certified partner. Ask for it explicitly — it is not offered spontaneously.
Have your budget reviewed
We'll run your configuration for free — and tell you when you're buying too much.
In 2026 HubSpot runs from €0 for the free CRM to $4,300 per month for a full Enterprise bundle. What you actually pay depends on three axes that scale independently: seats, marketing contacts and AI credits. Look only at the seat price and you will almost always end up above budget.
Below: the full price structure, the hidden cost items, and the answer to the question we get most — when is that upgrade to Professional worth it?
Pricing per Hub (2026)
All amounts assume annual billing. Month-to-month is structurally higher.
| Hub | Starter | Professional | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sales Hub | from $20/mo per core seat | from $100/mo (incl. 1 sales seat); extra sales seat $100, core seat $50 | from $150/mo per sales seat; core seat $75 |
| Service Hub | from $20/mo per seat | approx. $90–$100/mo per seat | approx. $150/mo per seat |
| Marketing Hub | from $20/mo (1,000 contacts) | $890/mo (incl. 3 seats) | from $3,600/mo |
| Content Hub | from $20/mo | $500/mo (incl. 3 core seats) | $1,500/mo (incl. 5 core seats) |
| Data Hub (formerly Operations Hub) | from $20/mo | approx. $800/mo | approx. $2,000/mo |
Customer Platform: all Hubs together
- Starter Customer Platform — from $20 per seat per month
- Professional Customer Platform — $1,300 per month, including 5 seats
- Enterprise Customer Platform — $4,300 per month, including 7 seats
The bundle is considerably cheaper than buying Hubs separately. If you need more than two Hubs on Professional, always run the bundle numbers — it works out favourably more often than companies expect.
The mandatory onboarding fees
This sits in small print and surprises almost everyone:
| Plan | One-off onboarding fee |
|---|---|
| Marketing Hub Professional | $3,000 |
| Sales Hub Professional | $1,500 |
| Service Hub Professional | $1,500 |
| Marketing Hub Enterprise | $7,000 |
| Sales Hub Enterprise | $3,500 |
| Service Hub Enterprise | $3,500 |
Good news: in many cases this fee can be replaced by onboarding through a certified partner. That is usually more substantive (you get someone who actually configures your portal) and cheaper. Ask explicitly — it is rarely offered spontaneously.
The three axes that drive your invoice
Axis 1 — Seats
Linear and predictable. The one thing to watch: don't give everyone a sales seat.
- Core seats — view the CRM, see contacts, add notes, read reports.
- Specialised seats — sequences, quotes, forecasting, ticket queues.
A team of ten where four actually sell pays four sales seats and six core seats. Annually, that difference runs into thousands.
Axis 2 — Marketing contacts
This is the nastiest axis. Marketing Hub Professional includes 2,000 marketing contacts; above that you pay per block of 5,000. And the sting: if your database grows past the tier, HubSpot adjusts your billing automatically, mid-contract included.
Two things that prevent it:
- Only mark contacts as marketing contacts if you genuinely email them. Old leads and customers you merely store are free up to a high limit on paid plans.
- Don't migrate dead data. Contacts that did nothing for five years aren't an asset — they're a monthly cost, a lower email reputation and a GDPR risk.
Axis 3 — AI credits and Breeze
Credit packages run from roughly $45 to $700 per month. Since April 2026 the Customer Agent and Prospecting Agent are billed per outcome: around $0.50 per resolved service conversation and $1 per qualified lead. Set credit alerts before activating agents.
What else you pay for
- Annual contracts. Professional and Enterprise require twelve months. Cancelling early gives no refund.
- Auto-renewal. On by default — switch it off right after signing if you want flexibility.
- Implementation partner. A mid-size B2B implementation typically costs €10,000 to €40,000 in hours.
- Data migration. Coming from a legacy system, budget a separate track.
- API limits. At high volumes you'll need a limit increase.
Realistic annual budgets
| Situation | Configuration | Indication per year |
|---|---|---|
| Freelancer / small team | Free or Starter, 2 seats | €0 – €600 |
| Growing SME, 10 employees | Starter Customer Platform, 10 seats | €2,400 – €4,000 |
| B2B with marketing team, 25 employees | Professional bundle + contacts | €25,000 – €45,000 (excl. implementation) |
| Scale-up, 100 employees | Professional/Enterprise mix | €80,000 – €150,000 |
| Enterprise, 250+ employees | Enterprise bundle + credits | €200,000+ |
For comparison: for a team of 25, HubSpot Professional lands around $38,000 per year against roughly $49,500 for Salesforce Enterprise. At 100 users that gap grows to about $70,000 per year.
When is Professional worth it?
Not at a certain headcount, but at a certain kind of work. Upgrade as soon as you need:
- Workflows — nurture flows, lead scoring, internal notifications, automated tasks
- Multiple pipelines — for example a renewals pipeline next to new business
- A/B testing on emails and pages
- Custom reporting and attribution — which campaign produced which revenue
- Sequences for sales follow-up at scale
If you don't need those, stay on Starter. Our experience: at least six months on Starter makes the Professional decision much sharper, because you'll know exactly which manual work you want to automate.
Negotiating your contract
List prices are a starting point, not an endpoint. What works:
- Negotiate at the end of a quarter. HubSpot is publicly listed and has quarterly targets.
- Ask for the onboarding fee to be waived in exchange for onboarding via a certified partner.
- Ask for a multi-year price lock. Protection against mid-term increases is often worth more than a 10% discount.
- Negotiate the contact tier, not just seats. That's where you grow unexpectedly.
- Document what happens on overage — ask for a grace period instead of an automatic upgrade.
- Switch off auto-renewal and get the notice period in writing.
- Don't be rushed. Discounts that "expire this week" come back next month.
The five most expensive pricing mistakes
- Jumping to Professional without going through the Starter phase.
- Marking every contact as a marketing contact.
- Giving everyone a sales seat instead of core seats.
- Leaving auto-renewal switched on.
- Turning on AI credits without alerts and without a populated knowledge base.
Frequently asked questions about HubSpot pricing
What is the minimum HubSpot costs?
Nothing: the free CRM has no time limit, with 1,000 contacts, 2 users and 1 deal pipeline. The first paid step is Starter from around $20 per seat per month.
Do I pay in euros or dollars?
HubSpot usually invoices Dutch and Belgian customers in euros, but the underlying price list is dollar-based. At renewal, exchange-rate differences can carry through. Ask about this upfront.
Can I downgrade mid-contract?
Not freely within a running annual contract, and there is no refund. At renewal you can adjust seats and tiers — plan that conversation at least two months before your renewal date.
Is AI included in the price?
Breeze Assistant is included in the platform, even on the free plan. Heavier AI usage and the agents run on credits or per-outcome billing.
