Why a selector instead of a price list
Most companies pick Professional too quickly. Not because they need the features, but because that's where the sales conversation starts. Meanwhile Starter is the sweet spot for the large majority of small and mid-sized companies — and the phase in which you learn which automation you genuinely need.
This selector looks at five things: team size, what HubSpot has to do, the size of your database, your automation needs, and whether your business model fits contact–company–deal. That last one is often the surprise: if you need custom objects (properties, policies, projects, courses), you're in Enterprise territory.
What we don't do
