SEO and AI visibility
Off-page SEO is everything outside your own site that affects findability: links from other sites, brand mentions, reviews and your presence where people talk about you.
Links remain the best-known signal, but how you earn them decides their weight: a reference from a trade publication, a client, a partner or a source you published yourself is not the same as a link you bought.
Visibility counts even without a link. Mentions of your name, consistent details in directories and reviews build the picture that you exist and can be trusted — exactly what AI answers and local results draw on.
Off-page cannot be forced the way on-page can. You earn it with something worth referring to: original research, a tool, a clear story, or simply good work clients talk about.
In practice
Buying links by volume. Low-quality networks produce numbers short term and a problem later.
