Website and technology
Zapier is an integration platform that connects tools without code: something happens in tool A, an action follows automatically in tool B.
Typical uses: pushing a form submission into your CRM, creating a new customer in accounting, sending a Slack or Teams notification, or appending a row to a sheet. Comparable platforms are Make and n8n.
Great for starting quickly and testing whether a process works. Once a connection is business-critical and high volume, a direct API integration or webhook is usually more stable and cheaper.
In practice
Dozens of loose zaps with no owner or error alerts. When something breaks you often notice only after leads have been missing for days — assign an owner and turn on notifications.
