E-commerce
E-commerce covers everything around selling products or services online: the store, payment, stock, shipping and the service afterwards.
The store is only one part. The profit usually sits in the chain around it: delivery speed, a clear returns policy and product data that is clean enough for comparison sites and ads.
Calculate per product or product group what is left after ad spend, shipping and returns. Revenue growth without that calculation says little.
In practice
Many stores steer on revenue instead of margin after ad and shipping costs, so revenue grows while the result drops.
