Credits (AI)

AI
Credits are the usage units AI tools bill you in: every prompt, generated text or image consumes part of your monthly allowance.
Underneath, models usually count tokens (pieces of text) for both your prompt and the answer. Tools convert that into credits, sometimes with a markup per feature or model.
Long conversations, large files and heavier models cost far more than short one-off questions. If you automate at scale, model that usage before going to production.
In practice
Comparing credits between tools says little: the unit and markup differ per vendor. Compare cost per completed task.
