A heatmap uses colour to show where visitors click, move and how far they scroll on a page.
It's a tool for seeing what people do, not why. Combine it with session recordings and with what your support team hears.
Watch especially for clicks on non-clickable elements (an expectation you don't meet) and for where scrolling stops relative to your main button.
