Automatic cleanup of inactive projects, so abandoned apps do not cause sprawl and outdated risks.
Projects that have not been used for a certain period are marked as abandoned. After a grace period they are cleaned up.
This prevents sprawl: dozens of old apps that nobody maintains but that are still online or still have access to data. Such forgotten apps are not updated and therefore become a risk.
The grace period gives the owner a chance to keep a project that is still needed.
Tip
Make sure owners are notified before cleanup. An app that is rarely used is not always unnecessary.
