SCIM provisioning(System for Cross-domain Identity Management)

Website and technology
SCIM provisioning automatically adds, updates and removes users through your organisation's central identity provider.
SCIM is an open standard that lets your identity provider, such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) or Google Workspace, manage user accounts in other tools automatically. You no longer create or change accounts by hand in every tool.
When someone joins, they get an account automatically. When their role or team changes, that change is passed on. When someone leaves, their access is revoked everywhere at once, so no forgotten accounts remain.
SCIM is often used together with SSO. SSO handles how someone signs in; SCIM handles which accounts exist and what rights they have.
Tip
SCIM only works well if the data in your identity provider is correct. A wrong group or role is passed on just as automatically as a correct one.
